Cancellations & Changes
There are no fees for changing your event date as long as (A) there is availability for your alternate date, (B) it is within 90 days of your reserved event date. If either of these conditions are not met, a 50% cancellation fee may be assessed (as penalty for effectively blocking that date from being used by other guests).
Pets of ANY kind are not permitted at Serenity Cay without express written consent prior to arrival. ALL ‘guide’ and ‘companion’ animals must be declared and the appropriate deposit paid for any and all animals brought onto the estate. This is primarily due to the delicate nature of this environment, including wildlife and marine life on the estate. We assume no liability for any pets brought onto the estate, and your security deposit may be applied toward damages by any pet in your party. A pet deposit of $500 will be held for all guide/companion animals.
Maximum Guest Occupancy
In the bridal cottage, the maximum overnight guest occupancy is 4 guests. At least one guest must be over the age of 18, and no minor may be accompanied without his/her legal guardian. If the guest occupancy exceeds 4 persons, a fee of $500 per person per night will be assessed against the security deposit.
For day-use events on the estate, a maximum of 100 guests may be on the grounds. Including suppliers, vendors, catering staff, security detail, support staff, etc., there shall not exceed 125 persons on the estate in any circumstance unless expressly permitted in writing and in advance of any event. If occupancy exceeds this limit, fees will be applied toward the security deposit but will be no less than $2,500 per incident, or $250 per person (whichever is greater).
A deposit of 50% of your total fees will be required to positively confirm your booking. The deposit is fully refundable up to 90 days in advance of your reservation. If you cancel 60-89 days prior, we retain 25% of your deposit. If you cancel 30-59 days prior, we retain 50%; For any cancellation with less than 30 days’ notice, we will retain your deposit.
A fully returnable SECURITY hold of $2,500 is required – either a credit card hold or a certified check for $2500 – which will be returned to you within 14 days of your event LESS any damage beyond reasonable wear and tear to the property.
